About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 19-bed Neurosurgical ICU serving acute stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), seizure, and post-surgical patient populations
• Perform frequent and thorough neurological assessments to monitor patient status and changes in condition
• Manage invasive intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
• Support and coordinate routine diagnostic imaging including CT, MRI, and Angiography
• Maintain patient assignments of 2-3:1 ratio in accordance with unit needs
• Float to other ICUs or step-down units as needed based on staffing and census requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio or compact eligibility
• Current BLS certification required
• Prior ICU nursing experience required
• Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring and neurological assessment

• Experience in a Neurosurgical or Neuro ICU setting
• Familiarity with invasive intracranial pressure monitoring devices and protocols
• Experience caring for post-surgical neurology or neurosurgery patients
• CCRN or CNRN certification preferred
