Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Home Health South Bay Area | Torrance, CA Heralds Home Health is Hiring! We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and clinically skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing Home Health team serving patients throughout the South Bay area of Los Angeles County. We are looking for a dependable PTA with strong rehabilitation skills, excellent communication, and the ability to provide high-quality patient care in a home health setting. Key Responsibilities Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Implement established treatment plans to improve patient mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence. Assist patients with gait training, therapeutic exercises, transfer training, and fall prevention. Monitor patient progress and promptly communicate changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist. Educate patients and caregivers on prescribed exercises, mobility techniques, and safety precautions. Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes. Qualifications Active California Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license. Strong clinical skills and knowledge of rehabilitation techniques. Home Health experience preferred. Experience working with geriatric patients and individuals with mobility limitations preferred. Ability to manage field visits efficiently and maintain accurate documentation. Strong communication and patient education skills. Bilingual Spanish or Vietnamese preferred. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the South Bay area.
