Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our team at Beachside Post Acute in Torrance, California. As a Speech Therapist at our facility, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and rehabilitation services to our patients. Responsibilities:

• Provide assessment, treatment, and rehabilitative services to patients who have experienced injury or disability, disease, or other conditions that impact their speech and language abilities.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with Speech Language Pathology Standard of Care and Practice.

• Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify learning needs and develop teaching plans to address these needs.

• Provide instruction and guidance to patients, families, and staff on speech and language therapy techniques and strategies.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop a comprehensive plan of care for each patient.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient treatment, progress, and outcomes.

Requirements:

• Current CPR Certification.

• Licensed Speech Language Pathologist (required).

• 1-2 years of experience in long-term care preferred.

• Good physical and mental health.

• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

• Training, knowledge, and experience to perform general supervision of responsibilities.

Reporting:

The Speech Therapist reports to the Director of Rehabilitation.
