Picker/Packer Associate – Job Description
The Picker/Packer Associate is responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet daily production goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order tickets or handheld scanning devices
- Pack items securely and efficiently to prevent damage during shipment
- Verify order accuracy, including item count and product codes
- Label packages correctly and prepare them for shipping
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, or scanners
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow company safety procedures and warehouse protocols
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed
- Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisors
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous warehouse or distribution experience is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Basic math and reading skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
