Lube Technician

Lube TechnicianSouth Coast Lumber Company is seeking a dependable Lube Technician to join our Truck Shop team. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on our fleet of trucks and equipment, including lubrication, oil and filter changes, and basic inspections. You'll play a critical part in keeping our operations running smoothly by ensuring every vehicle is maintained, reliable, and ready for daily use.Key ResponsibilitiesPreventative Maintenance: Perform routine lubrication, oil changes, and filter replacements on company trucks and heavy equipment.Inspections: Conduct basic visual and functional inspections to identify maintenance or repair needs, and promptly report findings to the shop supervisor.Fluids & Systems: Check and top off fluid levels, inspect belts and hoses, and ensure equipment is in proper working order.Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate service logs, documenting all maintenance performed, parts used, and issues observed.Safety & Compliance: Follow company safety procedures, including proper PPE use, and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and environmental guidelines for handling oils and chemicals.Team Collaboration: Work closely with mechanics and operators to coordinate service needs, prioritize maintenance tasks, and support efficient shop operations.Ability to stand, walk, and bend throughout a 10-hour shift.Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. regularly.Comfortable working around heavy equipment, oils, lubricants, and moving machinery.Reaching, pushing, and pulling while handling tools, filters, hoses, and shop equipment.Tolerance for working in a shop environment with noise, exhaust, and varying temperatures.What We're Looking ForSelf-motivated, with the ability to work independently or with a team.Strong work ethic with basic mechanical aptitude.Solid time management and the ability to follow instructions.Keen attention to detail and commitment to quality work.Preferred: Experience with preventative maintenance or the ability to operate manual-transmission vehicles.Compensation & BenefitsFull benefits package, including:Medical, Dental, VisionCompany-sponsored Health Care Center401(k) with Company MatchingLife InsurancePaid Time Off (Vacation & Holiday Pay)
