CMS Gifted & Talented Liaison (Job #3715) Calvert County Public School District, CALVERT MIDDLE SCHOOL, Prince Frederick, Maryland Job Details Application Deadline: Jul 02, 2026 11:59 PM (Eastern Standard Time) Starting Date: Immediately Type: Extra Duty / Extra Pay Salary: $1,716 to $3,771 Stipend Job Description Position Summary: The Gifted and Talented Liaison collaborates with the Coordinator of Advanced Learning to develop and enhance academic opportunities for high‑ability learners, analyze student data, and serve as liaison with parents and stakeholders. Reports To: Coordinator of Advanced Learning and School Principal Essential Job Functions, Responsibilities, and Duties Communicates regularly with the school leadership team to ensure gifted and talented services align with local and state regulations. Chairs the gifted and talented services school committee. Attends local trainings and sessions. Coordinates events and enrichment activities with the Coordinator of Advanced Learning and school principal. Analyzes test data and prepares parent notification/permission notices. Conducts weekly reviews of the online course calendar, assignments, and course statistics to monitor student progress. Consults with students to monitor progress and provide support. Coordinates services for students, including securing assistance through instructor contact or facilitating tutoring. Acts as liaison between grade levels, promotes the program, and engages in the annual articulation process. Communicates with parents and stakeholders about local and state gifted and talented opportunities. Plans and facilitates district‑wide events with other liaisons. Oversees evening and weekend advanced learning activities as needed. Other Duties Perform related work as required or assigned. Qualifications Current Calvert County Public Schools employee in good standing. Meet Maryland State Certification requirements or hold a bachelor’s degree. Demonstrated skill in online and face‑to‑face learning and use of diverse instructional strategies. Understanding of developmental levels of students and differentiation best practices. Strong time‑management and organizational leadership skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to relate effectively to students, teachers, staff, central office personnel, parents, and community members. Successfully accomplish tasks consistent with the responsibilities listed. Physical Demands Significant periods of standing and walking in a typical school environment; may require a flexible work schedule.
