Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced RN Labor & Delivery nurse for an ASAP-start opportunity in beautiful Santa Monica, CA . This beachside acute care hospital offers a great Southern California location and an Auto Offer opportunity for qualified candidates.

Unit Details

• 4 Antepartum Rooms
• 9 Labor / High-Risk Rooms
• 3 Triage Rooms
• Epic Charting
• No on-call requirement

Clinical Responsibilities

Experience with the following is required:

• Fetal Heart Monitoring
• High-Risk Pregnancy Monitoring
• C-Sections
• Vaginal Deliveries
• Labor & Delivery care

Floating

• May float to Postpartum if there are not enough Perinatal RNs
• Must be comfortable providing Postpartum couplet care for mother and newborn
• Newborn role in delivery experience is a bonus
• Candidates with additional newborn experience are preferred

Schedule

• Start: ASAP
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-Call: Not required
• Block Scheduling: May be accommodated at manager's discretion
• Floating: Yes, to Postpartum as needed

Requirements

• 2+ years of L&D experience
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Active CA RN License required
• Pending licenses not accepted
• Epic experience required

Required Certifications

• AWHONN Advanced OR NCC EFM
• ACLS – AHA
• BLS/BCLS – AHA
• NRP
• FHM
