Shape our customers' digital strategies

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you'll play a part in sales cycles, defining solutions meeting the customers' requirements. You'll be both the customers' trusted advisor and technical expert. Collaborating with sales partners you'll facilitate product adoption and account growth with a winning mindset for customers and Akamai.

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Partnering with customers to understand their business goals and how to scope the appropriate set of deliverables
• Working closely with sales to generate sales opportunities by managing the pre-sales technical process and demonstrating Akamai's value to customers
• Leading sales activities such as Presentations, Consultation, Technical Demos, Customer Analysis Reports and Proof of Concepts (POC's)
• Tracking account activity for business analysis and reporting, designing technical solutions to meet our customer's needs
• Building trusted relationships with customers' decision-makers to articulate Akamai's value proposition and build future revenue opportunities
• Participating in ongoing training initiatives to be up-skill yourself and train others

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have experience working in a customer-facing technical solutions pre-sales or post sale role
• Be a customer advocate passionate about delivering technical solutions
• Be fluent in Japanese and conversational in English (read and write)
• Have some knowledge or understanding of Computing (IaaS), Web/API Security or zero trust security (CKA, AWS, SAA, GCP, PCA, CISSP etc)
• Demonstrate good written/verbal presentation skills and have the ability to collaborate with external and internal stakeholders
• Be a team player, able to collaborate, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast changing environment
• Have solid problem-solving skills, a desire for results, and an appetite to learn new technologies
