About the Position
Job Title: Intensive Care Unit Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1+ year of ICU experience License: Michigan RN License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - EKG experience required - Must be willing to float to similar units Description: An Intensive Care Unit nurse provides 24/7 care for critically ill, unstable patients. Duties include managing life-support equipment like ventilators. The nurse titrates complex intravenous drips and interprets vital signs. They perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and administer medications. Coordination of advanced care with the multidisciplinary medical team is essential. All candidates must understand and comply with attendance policies. Physical copies of required certifications must be provided in the profile. A skills checklist completed within one year of application for RN specialties is necessary. References are not required.
