Work Environment

As an LMFT with Better Movement Coaching Hub, you will utilize a blend of telemedicine and in-person sessions tailored to both clients' and your own preferences. Your base of operation will be in an outpatient office setting, with opportunities to connect with clients from the comfort of your home or through our well-equipped offices in Hempstead.
Key Responsibilities
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough assessments of clients to determine their therapeutic needs.
- Providing both individual and couples therapy, focused on enhancing relationship dynamics.
- Implementing evidence-based treatment strategies tailored to address complex issues such as alcohol abuse, grief and loss, and family conflicts.
- Facilitating communication and understanding among family members, including siblings and blended families.
- Helping clients navigate significant life transitions, such as separation, divorce, and blended family adaptations.
- Documenting patient progress and treatment plans in compliance with best practices and organizational guidelines.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care and maximize client outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your role will center on providing support to a varied client demographic, including couples, individuals, and families facing diverse challenges. You will specialize in working with:
- Couples experiencing communication difficulties and relational distress.
- Individuals coping with grief and loss.
- Families dealing with conflict and adjustment issues due to separation or divorce.
- Adolescents and children, focusing on their specific emotional and developmental needs.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
- An active and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
- A commitment to clinical excellence and a passion for patient-centered care.
Preferred Experience
To excel in this role, candidates should ideally have:
- At least 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience in a relevant setting.
- A familiarity with teletherapy practices and technology.
- Experience with diverse populations, including adults and adolescents.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
