Electrical Engineer IThe Effector RF Design Department is seeking an Electrical Engineer I for an RF design position to work with a variety of programs as a contributor to detailed design, simulation, product development, and initial product testing.The successful candidate will have educational experience and professional interest in designing RF and microwave hardware, including transmitters, receivers, and exciters. Critical to this role will be designing for challenging mechanical constraints and extreme environments. All Candidates will work within a larger team at Raytheon. Candidates perform meaningful engineering tasks for their assigned projects and will also have access to a variety of career development opportunities. These include access to technical mentors and the ability to "shadow" experienced professionals in order to learn about real industry positions.What You Will Do:Design and test activities that span preliminary design to integration. Products we develop support radar and datalink applications on a variety of tactical missile programsExperience designing and optimizing RF circuits – either chains of components (receiver, exciter, etc.) or individual parts (filters, limiters, couplers, etc.)Working in a lab to accomplish component characterization as well as module verification and integrationTesting and handling sensitive RF Hardware.Supporting design of circuit and assemblies (CCAs) with RF or mixed signals.Working with interdisciplinary teams – power, digital, mechanical, etc.Schematic capture and detailed design.Qualifications You Must Have:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.Experience and/or coursework in programming and/or simulation experience in MATLAB, SIMULINK, C/C++, or equivalent language.Experience and/or coursework with two or more of the following:Communication theoryDigital signal processingProbability theoryStochastic signal processingRF and electromagnetic theoryWhat We Offer:Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
