Production TechThe Production Tech position performs the labeling and boxing of finished product under the supervision and direction of the Boxing Supervisor.Essential Functions:Performs the careful handling of packaged meat products in a fast paced environmentUnloads product from combo unto beltOperates scale to verify product weightMakes cardboard boxes by handPerforms the labeling, boxing and stacking of finished productMust be able to stand between 2 – 3 hours at a timeMust be willing to follow all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) of the company which include but are not limited to: use of a hair net, use of a company approved frock, no jewelry, no nail polish or artificial nails, no shorts, no open-toed shoes, no ripped clothing or rhinestones/glitter on clothing, no chewing gum, candy or tobacco.Supervisory Responsibility:This position has no supervisory responsibilities.Other Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. At times the work area experiences high traffic of forklift and pallet jack operators.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 poundsThe employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.Frequent use/motion of hands, wrists and arms are requiredThe employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or bend.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:This is a full-time position. 40+ hours per week.Hours of work: Monday through Friday, start and finish time varies depending on workload.10 – 12 hour work days are common. Weekends and overtime hours are often required.
