Assistant Restaurant Manager The Assistant Restaurant Manager (ARM) supports the Restaurant General Manager in the day-to-day operation and performance of the restaurant. The ARM provides leadership to the restaurant team, supports guest service, financial and operational results, food quality, safety, staffing, and compliance with Pizza Hut standards. The ARM may assume responsibility for restaurant operations during assigned shifts or in the absence of the Restaurant General Manager and is expected to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for advancement into an RGM role. Key responsibilities include: Supporting day-to-day restaurant operations and ensuring consistent execution of Pizza Hut standards. Leading restaurant operations during assigned shifts and in the absence of the RGM. Maintaining high standards for food quality, order accuracy, cleanliness, speed of service, and restaurant readiness. Providing hands-on operational support and modeling appropriate skills and behaviors for the restaurant team. Ensuring guests receive friendly, professional, and timely service and assisting with resolving guest concerns. Supporting new product rollouts, promotions, and Company operational initiatives. Ensuring restaurant facilities and equipment are maintained to Company standards. Assisting with recruiting, selecting, training, coaching, and developing team members and managers. Providing day-to-day leadership, direction, recognition, and feedback to the restaurant team. Assisting the RGM in maintaining appropriate staffing levels and developing staffing plans. Training and developing Team Members, Shift Leaders, and Shift Managers. Supporting employee performance management and addressing conduct, attendance, or performance concerns in accordance with Company policies. Partnering with the RGM and Human Resources, as appropriate, regarding corrective action or other employee-relations matters. Promoting teamwork, accountability, open communication, and a respectful work environment. Assisting the RGM in managing restaurant sales, labor, food cost, inventory, and controllable expenses. Monitoring restaurant performance and taking appropriate action within assigned authority to support sales and profitability goals. Assisting with sales forecasts, labor planning, inventory counts, product ordering, and other financial controls. Supporting preparation and execution of restaurant financial and operational plans. Identifying performance opportunities and assisting the RGM in developing and implementing action plans. Communicating restaurant results and significant operational concerns to the RGM. Maintaining a safe, clean, and sanitary restaurant environment. Ensuring compliance with applicable food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and health requirements. Ensuring products are prepared, stored, and served according to Pizza Hut standards. Following and reinforcing Company safety, security, cash-handling, and asset-protection procedures. Addressing unsafe conditions or practices promptly and reporting incidents as required. Supporting restaurant readiness for applicable inspections, audits, and brand evaluations. Assisting with inventory counts, product ordering, receiving, and waste controls. Supporting local restaurant marketing and sales-building activities. Assisting with implementation of new products and Company programs. Maintaining professional working relationships with approved suppliers and Company contacts. Supporting other restaurant and market priorities as assigned. Qualifications include: One to two years of restaurant, food-service, or related experience preferred. High school education, specialized training, or equivalent experience preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to coach, train, motivate, and provide direction to others. Strong guest-service and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to plan, prioritize, and delegate effectively. Basic business, math, and financial skills. Ability to analyze restaurant performance information and take appropriate action. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and other shifts based on business needs. Completion of required Pizza Hut training and certifications. The Assistant Restaurant Manager must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
