Health & Safety ManagerLocation: Hawaii ECC is seeking a Health & Safety Manager for upcoming work in Hawaii and surrounding areas. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with Company safety standards, contractual requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The position may support multiple concurrent projects and subcontractors. In this position, you will:Implement and manage Accident Prevention Plans (APPs), Health & Safety Plans, SOPs, and regulatory requirementsPromote and enforce Company health and safety programs across construction sitesOversee development, review, and acceptance of Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs)Conduct site inspections and audits to verify compliance and identify riskLead safety training for Company staff, subcontractors, and project stakeholdersPrepare and maintain required safety documentation, reports, logs, and recordsInvestigate incidents, document findings, and track corrective actions to closureServe as the primary site safety representative with clients and regulatory agenciesCollaborate with Project Managers to integrate safety into project planning and executionProvide mentoring and technical guidance to safety staff and junior personnelSupport subcontractor safety reviews and compliance assessmentsIn addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this positionRequirementsMinimum eight (8) years of progressive construction health & safety experienceStrong knowledge of USACE EM 385-1-1 and OSHA 1910 / 1926Proven ability to communicate effectively and work independentlyExperience training and influencing teams without direct authorityProficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business systemsValid U.S. driver's license and acceptable driving recordAbility to obtain and maintain Military base accessAbility to travel periodically based on project needsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Management, or related field (equivalent additional experience may be accepted)Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting DoD construction projects (USACE, NAVFAC)Demonstrated success managing subcontractor safety complianceCertifications such as CSP or CIHHAZWOPER 40-hour (and refresher) and Supervisor certificationUSACE Contractor Quality Management (CQM)OSHA 30-Hour ConstructionECC targeted salary range for US locations average is $92,000 to $120,000 annually. Actual salary offered may be affected by education, training, certifications, experience, skills, level of responsibility, and location.
