Radiologic Technologist

JOB SUMMARY Operates CT scanner to produce cross-sectional images of the body for diagnostic purposes. Key Responsibilities Positions patients and equipment to ensure accurate imaging. Explains procedures to patients, answers questions, and provides reassurance. Administers contrast media as directed. Monitors patient conditions during scans to ensure safety. Maintains patient records and ensures the quality and safety of images. Follows established protocols and safety guidelines. Maintains the CT scanner and work area in a clean and orderly condition. Schedule / Shift Typically includes evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Certifications ARRT certification in Radiography. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Experience Experience as a CT Technologist is preferred. Skills Proficient in CT scanning procedures and protocols. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Ability to operate CT scanners and related equipment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. EMR / Systems Experience with EMR and PACS systems is beneficial. Patient Population Age: Adult, Geriatric. Unit / Specialty CT Scan Department. Floating / On-Call May be required to float to other imaging modalities or departments as needed. On-call duties may be required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
