ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS This position is exclusively for the afternoon/night shift and requires weekend availability. Interacts with crew members and customers using 'Tropitude' (Tropitude is our “mojo” and what makes Tropical Smoothie Café fun and different. It means having energy and creating a positive atmosphere.) Delivers ‘Unparalleled Hospitality’ to each customer that visits our café. Prepares ingredients for our food and smoothies. Assembles and serves fresh food and smoothies prepared to Tropical Smoothie Cafes’ standards. Uses our sanitation practices to handle and prepare food. Sets up and monitors food and smoothie work stations. Cleans and organizes kitchen, workstations, dining room, restrooms, and any other areas in the cafe. Follows the steps to operate the register including taking customer orders, accurately handling cash, and being responsible for the drawer. Follows all safety and security policies set by the brand. Performs any additional tasks necessary to run the cafe. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Candidate must have reached the minimum age of 16 at the time of application. Legally able to work within the State and Federal guidelines. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Continuous standing and walking throughout the duration of each shift. Bending, lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds to perform duties like stocking, refilling ice, or taking out trash. Constant face-to-face interactions with crew members and customers. Safely navigate in a fast-paced cafe environment. Ability to multi-task and remain positive in sometimes stressful working conditions. WORKING CONDITIONS Most shifts are between four and eight hours, but this may vary. This specific job posting requires evening/weekend/holiday shifts. Our cafe is open Monday-Friday from 7am-9pm, Saturday & Sunday from 8am-9pm Comply with the Tropical Smoothie Cafe uniform and personal hygiene policies for each shift.
