Property Accountant

Property AccountantAmerican Landmark is currently seeking a detail oriented Property Accountant with Multi-Family accounting experience to be based out of our Tampa, FL, Corporate office.AL is one of the fastest growing multifamily owner-operators in the United States.You will conduct full cycle accounting functions for a portfolio of multifamily properties, working closely with property and regional managers on all financial matters. In addition, you are to provide accurate and timely financial information to internal departments and external auditors, investors and lenders.Your "Day to Day" at American Landmark:Maintain GAAP financials for 12-15 multifamily propertiesPrepare and maintain monthly workpapers including balance sheet account reconciliationsAnalyze and review property operating statements and balance sheets including month end accruals and reclassesReconcile monthly bank statementsPrepare monthly investor reporting packagesRecord monthly depreciation and amortizationUpdate quarterly audit workpapers and prepare reporting packages for quarterly audit including SOX backup requirementsPrepare quarterly and/or monthly lender reportingPrepare replacement reserve packages for lendersGenerate year end workpapers and coordinate with external auditors on the year end auditsAssist in the annual budget processPerform special projects as needed and provide support to the accounting and property management teamsQualifying Accomplishments:College DegreeBachelors in AccountingCPA not required but preferred2-3 years of property accounting experienceTechnical or Administrative KnowledgeStrong analytical skillsStrong Excel skillsRealpage/Onesite experience a plusSpecial Skills and/or Abilities:Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines is essentialAbility to work independently, as well as part of a teamStrong communication skills, both written and oral, as well as interpersonal skillsWhat American Landmark Offers You:Competitive compensation package with comprehensive benefits package and bonus systemThree weeks' vacation per yearEducation/Tuition ReimbursementMedical Insurance, Life Insurance, Dental and Vision PlanShort and Long-Term Disability401K Retirement Plan w/ matchBackground & drug screening are a requirement.We are an equal opportunity employer.
