Speech therapy is a brand-new service offering at NESS Behavior Consulting, and we are seeking a seasoned Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to lead the way and set the standard for our ongoing speech services. This leadership-minded role serves clients across New York, including Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island, Nassau, and Suffolk County, as well as school district settings. The Speech Therapist will provide comprehensive assessments, direct speech and language therapy, and collaborative care for individuals with speech, language, and communication challenges.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate high clinical competence, strong interpersonal skills, and empathy. You will work closely with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), educators, and families to deliver integrated, client-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language skills.

• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques to enhance communication skills.

• Collaborate with families and other professionals to ensure holistic care.

• Monitor and document client progress and adjust treatment as necessary.

• Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding speech and language development.

• Participate in team meetings and contribute to program development.

• Stay updated on best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Current New York State Speech-Language Pathologist License

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology

• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)

• TSSLD/TSHH certification, as applicable

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

• Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologists are encouraged to apply.

Position Details

• Location: Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island, Nassau, and Suffolk County, NY.

• Settings: In-home, school district/educational settings, and telehealth.

• Schedule: Flexible scheduling options available (Full-time or Part-time).

• Start Date: The official start date will commence once credentialing is complete and the therapist is fully added to all NESS contracts.
