Passionate about supporting student growth in Special Education? This full-time, contract opportunity offers versatile roles for experienced Special Education professionals eager to make a meaningful impact onsite in a dynamic high school environment. Two positions are available, each with the chance to meaningfully contribute to the academic and personal success of diverse learners.
Current Openings:
- Math Resource Teacher (requires SPED and Math certification; experience in math intervention or resource settings is highly valued)
- Academic Vocational Life Skills Teacher (requires SPED and general core content certification; background in life skills and vocational instruction is preferred)
These roles are based in a vibrant high school setting, collaborating with dedicated teams to provide individualized instruction and support.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Special Education (SPED) certification relevant to the role
- Math certification (for Math Resource position)
- Core content certification (for Academic Vocational Life Skills position)
- Direct experience as a Special Education teacher in middle or high school
- Familiarity with IEP development and compliance
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Demonstrated ability to adapt instructional methods to student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective instructional plans tailored to students’ individual learning needs
- Conduct progress monitoring, accommodations, and modifications as outlined in IEPs
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including general educators, therapists, and families
- Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and provide input on student goals and progress
