Class A Local Flatbed Truck Driver

Position Summary Class A CDL Truck Driver in Chattanooga, TN. Weekly pay average $1,320. Hourly rate $24.00, 50 hours per week. Paid training. Schedule Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays. Start time 6:00 am dispatch. Route and Equipment Route: Local home daily, deliver SOLO to surrounding areas Tractor type: Day cab, must drive manual Trailer type: Flatbed 48’ or 53’, requires 6 months experience Equipment: Mounted forklift, requires 1 year+ experience Freight: Touch‑brick Benefits Medical, dental & vision after 30 days 80 hours PTO first year, starting Day 1 (use or get paid) Uniforms, cell phone & boot allowance provided Drivers make safety decisions; job protected 401(k) rollover available now + company match at 1 year 12 weeks paid maternity leave (subject to eligibility) Employee discounts on tools, vehicles, travel, tech & more Requirements Minimum 21 years of age Pass Ryder drug test Pass Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including verification from last 3 years Pass DOT physical Pass Ryder road test Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements Class A experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle: • 9 months experience within past 3 years, or • 2 years experience within last 5 years, or • 5 years experience within last 10 years Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures Responsibilities Ensure compliance with federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards and guidelines Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards, maintain accurate records and logs Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading of freight as required by customer Perform other duties as assigned EEO Statement Ryder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug‑free workplace.
