Position Title Rural Health Registered Nurse About this Opportunity The College of Health seeks a compassionate, driven Registered Nurse t to join our newly established Rural Health Network. The Rural Health Registered Nurse position is a great opportunity to experience mobile health service provision on a part-time basis with a flexible schedule available. This position is grant-funded through June 30, 2024, on a temporary part-time basis paying an hourly rate of between $40.00 and $45.00. Salary Grade Wages Begin At 40.00 FLSA Non-Exempt Hrs/Week 20 Pre-Employment Screening Requires successful completion of a background check and education verification. Position Function The Rural Health Registered Nurse will provide patient care to clients and agencies in the College of Health's Rural Health Project. Furthermore, the Registered Nurse will supervise and precept students who are seeing clients in the community and/or via telehealth. This is a temporary, part-time position supported by grant funding and will require travel to various sites in East Central Indiana. Minimum Education Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Minimum Experience Minimum of eighteen months of experience working as a Registered Nurse. Must hold a nursing license in the state of Indiana. Minimum Other Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable under the university's auto fleet policy and have the willingness and ability to travel. Authorization to work in the US Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship. Preferred Education Master's degree from an accredited institution. Preferred Experience Minimum of two years of experience working as a Registered Nurse. Ranking 2 Job Duty Oversee students who are assisting to provide care to clients in community settings and/or via telehealth. Ranking 3 Job Duty In coordination with the project manager, order equipment and supplies, manage inventory, and ensure that all mobile units are appropriately outfitted and stocked for service provision. Ranking 4 Job Duty Assist the project manager with the registration and scheduling of patients for services as needed. Ranking 5 Job Duty Maintain and manage patient health records. Ranking 6 Job Duty Coordinate with the project manager for data collection and reporting. Ranking 7 Job Duty Coordinate with practitioners, network partners, and students to organize forms, materials, and supplies used by the mobile health units. Ranking 8 Job Duty Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to clinics' policies and procedures for securing protected health information in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Adhere to, and strictly follow, policies and procedures on security related to clinical spaces and patient care and safety. Ranking 9 Job Duty Perform other related duties as assigned.
