Lab Tech

Delaware County Memorial Hospital dba Regional Medical Center Lab Tech (Healthcare) Full-time, 5 days per week, 1415-2245, rotating nights on holidays 1830-0700, roughly 2 holidays per year (1 day shift & 1 night shift), and 1 out of every 6 weekends 0630-1900. May include some rotating shifts to help cover the lab when needed. Responsibilities: Performs arterial puncture for ABGPerform therapeutic phlebotomiesAccurately collects drug screening samples and completes chain of custody formsPerforms daily functions directly related to the laboratory departmentDocuments corrective action, variance reports and all pertinent informationEvaluates laboratory results and assures accuracyPerforms EKG and associated paperwork accuratelyAssists in scheduling respiratory care proceduresFacilitates department scheduling in call back and emergency situationsAssists with the ordering of department suppliesCommunicates and documents critical laboratory values to physicians and nursing personnelPerforms laboratory tests, processes and releases results that are timely, accurate and precisePerforms the collection and labeling of specimens for laboratory testingPerforms preventative maintenance and troubleshoots lab equipmentPerforms quality control and quality assurance functions, and assists in the record keeping of suchAssists the Pathologist in performing proceduresProvides for safety, physical and mental comfort during proceduresAssists in writing, reviewing, revising, implementing policies and proceduresSkillfully performs phlebotomy on patients in-house and other locationsPrepares sent-out labsPerforms clerical duties and files accuratelyTakes accurate and complete orders following RMC policy as well as following CLIA, NCD and LMRP guidelinesAssists with stocking the department with suppliesAccurately completes orders in computerRecords and distributes sent-out lab reportsSchedules drug testingAccurately perform breath alcohol test and complete appropriate paperwork #J-18808-Ljbffr Delaware County Memorial Hospital dba Regional Medical Center in
