Join our team as an Automatic Lathe Operator in Winston Salem, NC! We are seeking a skilled Machinist to operate automatic lathes in a high-energy production setting. Your main responsibilities will be to create precise parts, uphold quality standards, and ensure seamless machine operation throughout different shifts.

Responsibilities

• Set up, oversee, and manage automatic lathes to guarantee consistent and efficient performance
• Manufacture parts according to specifications, ensuring quality and accuracy
• Inspect and measure parts using precision tools to ensure adherence to standards
• Adjust machine parameters and tools as needed to maintain quality and productivity
• Maintain and replace tooling, drills, inserts, and coolants as necessary
• Manage bar stock loading to prevent operational delays
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to avoid extended downtime
• Accurately complete production and quality documentation
• Keep work area clean, safe, and organized, adhering to safety standards
• Effectively communicate with team members and supervisors during shift changes

Requirements

• Prior experience with automatic lathes is essential
• Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools
• Basic mechanical understanding and knowledge of machining principles
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in machining preferred
• Capability to work independently and manage multiple machines simultaneously

Shift

• Day and night shifts available
• Night shift differential provided

Compensation

• $25–$27/hr, experience-dependent
• Night shift differential included
