Communication Specialist – 40‑Hour Contract (Healthcare Setting)

Location: Must reside in Tennessee Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Work Model: Hybrid — 2 days onsite, remaining days remote

Overview

This role offers the opportunity to lead communication efforts that support key organizational initiatives and change management activities. The Communication Specialist will craft clear, engaging messages for diverse audiences and collaborate closely with leaders to ensure communications align with business goals. This position blends on‑site collaboration with remote flexibility, fostering strong team connection while supporting work‑life balance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher
• 3+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
  • Communications
  • Marketing
  • Journalism

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute communication plans that support organizational priorities and change initiatives Partner with Communications and Change Management leaders to deliver clear messaging around organizational changes Manage communication timelines, deliverables, and execution across multiple projects Write clear, compelling copy for multiple channels including:

• Executive communications
• Emails & newsletters
• Intranet content
• Talking points
• Video scripts
• Presentations Translate complex or sensitive business information into accessible, audience‑appropriate messaging Create communications for multiple audiences including executive leadership, senior leaders, people leaders, and team members Collaborate with leaders and subject matter experts to gather information and ensure alignment with business objectives Maintain communication strategies, editorial calendars, content plans, and project timelines Identify communication needs and recommend appropriate audiences, channels, timing, and messaging Support internal newsletters and ongoing organizational communications from topic development through distribution

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Hybrid schedule: 2 days in-office + remote work Must reside in Tennessee
