Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Gastroenterology

This contract position is on-site providing a unique opportunity to deliver quality healthcare within our Medical Practice environment.

As a Locum Gastroenterologist you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients addressing a variety of gastrointestinal disorders. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of enhancing patient health and well-being while also ensuring continuity of care during periods of staff absence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations and medical histories
• Diagnose and treat gastrointestinal disorders
• Perform endoscopic procedures as necessary
• Develop and implement patient treatment plans
• Collaborate with nursing and healthcare staff to ensure patient safety
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records
• Educate patients and families on gastrointestinal health
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Valid medical license to practice in the state of New York
• Board certification in Gastroenterology preferred
• Experience in a clinical setting is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to patient-centered care
• Knowledge of electronic health record systems

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p minimum 2 weeks per month

No call shifts required

Setting: Outpatient

Daily Volume: 12-15 general procedures or 6-8 advanced procedures 8 patients

Must be board-certified
