ACLS Certified ED Program Coordinator - RN

This role offers a unique opportunity to lead clinical practice and performance improvement initiatives across trauma, cardiac, stroke, and sepsis programs within a critical access hospital setting.

Job Summary

As the ED Program Coordinator, you will serve as a clinical resource and leader, collaborating closely with medical staff, department managers, ancillary services, and nursing teams. You will manage quality data, ensure regulatory compliance, and spearhead education and improvement projects. Your role includes responding to trauma, stroke, and cardiac activations when available, and partnering with interprofessional teams to optimize patient care plans.

Representing the organization at regional trauma, cardiac, stroke, and healthcare coalition meetings, you will foster professional partnerships with local hospitals and emergency service providers. Collaboration with leadership such as the Emergency Medical Director, Nurse Manager, and Pharmacy Director is essential to maintain and update protocols and order sets that meet program standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage trauma, cardiac, stroke, and sepsis programs, monitoring quality data and initiating improvements.
• Provide retrospective patient care analysis and develop action plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Respond to clinical activations and assist in collaborative care planning.
• Represent the organization at county and regional meetings related to clinical programs.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with local healthcare providers and emergency services.
• Ensure compliance with data collection and program requirements for maintaining designations and re-designations.
• Lead special projects and other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Recent emergency or critical care experience preferred, ideally within a trauma facility.
• Experience with V5 data registry is a plus.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of Washington.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications within 6 months of hire.
