Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with at least 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience for a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center.

Details

• Works across multiple settings including the ED, inpatient floors, OR, and performing portable exams
• Willingness to work with pediatric and neonatal patients is required
• Primary department assignment daily with floating to other areas as needed
• EMR: Epic and Sectra (experience preferred)
• Equipment: GE, Philips, and CareStream radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment
• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Scheduled Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience, or 2–3 years at a large-volume Level 2 trauma facility
• Experience in high-acuity, fast-paced trauma environments with diverse and complex cases — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Current BLS and ARRT certification required
• Graduation from a JRCERT/ARRT-approved radiologic technology program required
• Proficiency operating radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment
• Active state license required if applicable

Additional Information

• This is a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center with significant case volume and complexity
• Responsibilities include evaluating images for technical quality and performing radiologic and fluoroscopic studies across multiple care settings
• Technologists will work alongside radiology students and may perform competency check-offs for student evaluations
• Mask fit testing is required
• Local candidates are accepted
