The Generalist serves as a resource to employees and managers, identifies opportunities to improve HR processes and the employee experience, and assists with department initiatives and projects under the direction of the Director of Human Resources. Essential Functions: Administer and support the company’s HRIS platform, including maintaining accurate employee information, assisting users, supporting system processes, and identifying opportunities to improve system utilization. Manage talent acquisition for assigned departments in partnership with hiring managers, including recruitment planning, candidate screening, selection support, and hiring coordination. Support the development, communication, and consistent administration of Human Resources policies and practices while monitoring applicable employment laws, regulatory changes, industry trends, and recommended best practices. Serve as a day-to-day Human Resources resource to applicants, employees, managers, and supervisors by addressing routine employment matters, providing guidance on established practices, and escalating complex, sensitive, or high-risk issues to the Director of Human Resources. Coordinate employee lifecycle activities for assigned departments, including onboarding, employment changes, leave and benefit support, required documentation, and offboarding. Maintain the highest level of confidentiality. Effectively and responsibly use modern technology and artificial intelligence tools, including Microsoft Copilot, to improve productivity, streamline HR processes, support informed decision-making, and enhance the employee experience while maintaining confidentiality and data security. Coordinate recurring Human Resources processes, employee communications, documentation, and follow-up to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent completion across assigned areas. Compile, review, and maintain Human Resources data, reports, and documentation to support operational decisions, compliance requirements, and department priorities. Ability to leverage the available technology and software platforms to enhance efficiency in the HR processes, as well as the employees’ experience. Superior organizational skills and an ability to function in a fast-paced, multi-task setting Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Possesses integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems. Supervisory Responsibilities: May train/mentor administrative staff in the department . Required Education/Experience/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related, or equivalent years of experience in a relevant role . Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant HR role Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and with the administration of HRIS platforms. High level of written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
