• This position is primarily Field based and requires  the ability to work 12-hour day or night shifts during pre-outage and outage periods.

Desired Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience leading ELECTRICAL construction, maintenance, modification, or outage activities in an industrial, power generation, or nuclear environment.
• Demonstrated experience directing ELECTRICAL craft activities including cable routing, cable pulling, cable terminations, continuity testing, and troubleshooting.
• Evidence of cable terminations and Roxtec installation activities appears in recent company outage planning and execution documents.
  • Previous experience with Roxtec cable transit systems, including installation, inspection, sealing requirements, and quality oversight of cable penetrations. Roxtec-related work scopes are identified in planned outage activities.
• Working knowledge of electrical penetration assemblies (EPAs), containment cable routing, and electrical field implementation activities.
  • EPA termination and penetration work has been identified as a significant project activity.
• Proven ability to provide field oversight of contractors and craft personnel while ensuring adherence to procedures, work instructions, quality requirements, and outage schedules.
• Experience conducting job walkdowns, pre-job briefings, work package reviews, and field observations to verify safe and compliant work execution.

These responsibilities align with Company Task Director expectations and oversight plans.

• Familiarity with human performance tools, nuclear safety culture principles, corrective action programs, and work management processes.
• Previous nuclear outage experience preferred, including work inside radiologically controlled areas and containment.
• Ability to effectively communicate work status, emergent issues, schedule impacts, and field observations to Site Project Leads, station management, and project stakeholders.
• Preferred Experience Company, AP1000, commercial nuclear, or other utility outage experience.
• Experience with PMS/PLS cabinet terminations, electrical modification implementation, containment penetrations, and outage execution oversight.
• Prior experience serving as a Task Director, Construction Supervisor, Electrical Foreman, General Foreman, or equivalent field leadership role supporting outage execution.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work 12-hour day or night shifts during pre-outage and outage periods.
• Ability to walk, stand, and traverse large industrial and construction work areas for extended periods.
• Ability to climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and elevated work platforms as required to perform field oversight activities.
• Ability to work on uneven surfaces, including grated flooring, concrete, gravel, and construction areas.
• Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety footwear, and other site-required protective equipment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain radiological access and wear protective clothing required for work in Containment and other controlled areas.
• Ability to perform field observations, inspections, and oversight activities in confined or restricted work areas as authorized.
• Ability to lift and carry materials, equipment, or documentation up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment
Primarily field-based within an operating nuclear generating station and active industrial/construction environment. Frequent work in plant, outage, and construction areas, including inside Containment during outage activities.
Exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, noise, vibration, dust, and industrial plant conditions. Requires adherence to Southern Nuclear safety programs, procedures, human performance tools, and radiological protection requirements. Regular interaction with craft personnel, supervisors, planners, and project management teams to ensure schedule adherence, procedure use and adherence, and work execution oversight. Combination of indoor and outdoor work, including exposure to seasonal weather conditions. Position supports pre-outage planning and outage execution activities and may require extended work hours, shift work, weekends, and holidays as needed to support station and project schedules.

Requires Unescorted Access to the Protected Area of a Nuclear Plant

PPE will be provided by SNC V34 Site Projects (Gloves,Hard Hats,Safety Glasses) However if needed the task director requires prescription safety glasses, then the leased worker will need to provide those.
