Medical Assistant (2227)HeartPlace - Home Office - Dallas, TX 75248OverviewPosition Type Full Time Job Shift Day Education Level High School Diploma/GED Category Other PositionsDescriptionUS Heart and Vascular is in need of a Full-time Medical Assistant Float to join our HeartPlace team in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area.Responsibilities:Takes patient vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, weight, etc.)Verifies and inputs patient medications into EMR. Making changes and additions as needed to the medication list.Responsible for EKG, rhythm strip, and signal average EKG hook-ups and printouts (Proficiency Required)Assists physicians with patient exams as needed.Responsible for Holter monitor hook-ups and removals, event recorders and Loop recorders. (Proficiency Required)Ability to perform stress tests as needed and to assist in test interpretation.Takes pharmacy phone calls, reviews charts, and calls in prescription refills.Monitors pharmacy samples, removing from stock as expired.Receives and returns phone calls from patients and other external sources.
