Job Overview The Business Management Specialist manages a diverse portfolio of business management activities for complex or high‑risk functional areas, implementing policies, processes, and initiatives to meet business management, strategy, and governance objectives. Responsibilities Works autonomously and is accountable as a lead within a specialized business management function; may provide work direction to others. Provides seasoned specialized knowledge, advice, and guidance to stakeholders and team members. Focuses on short‑ to medium‑term issues (6–12 months), undertaking and completing complex projects and initiatives that integrate cross‑functional processes. Oversees and/or independently performs tasks from end to end. Contributes to the strategic direction of the business management function and plays a key role in developing and implementing strategies that support overall business strategy. Plans, leads, manages, and/or oversees a diverse set of work activities requiring alignment across multiple areas. Leads the integrated implementation of policies, processes, procedures, and changes across functional areas. Provides direction and input to complex, enterprise‑wide or cross‑functional projects/initiatives as a subject‑matter expert; participates in identifying, designing, testing solutions, and supporting implementation. Facilitates key discussions and provides thought leadership to executive audiences; outputs roadmaps, strategic plans, deliverables, and frameworks with short‑ to long‑term goals. Leads partners to management, leadership, and respective teams for areas of specialization; recognizes emerging trends, identifies issues and opportunities, and recommends action to senior management. Works effectively with multiple teams across a broad spectrum of initiatives and functional domains, influencing others as needed. Maintains a culture of risk management and control, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements (e.g., financial controls, segregation of duties, transaction approvals). Participates in cross‑functional and enterprise initiatives as a subject‑matter expert, guiding risk mitigation for complex situations. Leads governance meetings or committees and related deliverables/outcomes; facilitates or implements action/remediation plans to address performance, risk, or governance issues. Provides thought leadership and industry knowledge for own area of expertise, supporting a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation, and teamwork. Identifies and recommends opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness, and operational efficiency. Education and Experience • Undergraduate degree. • 7+ years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications Audit experience working directly in a risk role. Understanding of policies, procedures, audit controls, risk mitigation strategies, and solutions. Ability to perform tasks from end to end. Experience coordinating with multiple technology, line‑of‑business partners, and audit teams.
