Developing and leading strategic fundraising initiatives: Drive the organization's three-year fundraising strategy in alignment with the five-year strategic plan.
Leading, managing, and supporting five direct reports: Provide strategic direction, coaching, and support to the Deputy Director of Foundation and Donor Engagement, Senior Business Engagement Officer, Development Manager, Member Engagement Program Manager, and Event Program Manager.
Overseeing budget forecasting and management: Lead annual budget forecasting and management.
Monitoring KPIs to ensure goals are met: Oversee monthly performance tracking to measure progress, strengthen accountability, and inform strategy.
Guiding the Strategic Engagement Committee: Lead a 12-member committee in efforts to elevate awareness, deepen community engagement, and generate critical funding to advance the organization's mission.
Strengthening cross-departmental communication: Connect regularly with program teams to ensure Development understands programmatic priorities, organizational needs, and emerging opportunities-and can translate them into compelling donor narratives and meaningful stewardship opportunities.
Partnering across Resource Development: Work closely with the Directors of Communications and Volunteer Programs to ensure coordinated execution of programs, campaigns, events, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
Building effective processes and systems: Develop and implement efficient systems and workflows that support staff productivity, strengthen team effectiveness, and enable program growth.
Operationalizing a culture of philanthropy: Embed practices of gratitude, storytelling, stewardship, and community engagement into departmental operations.
7+ years of fundraising experience: Extensive experience across multiple giving channels, including individual donors, businesses, foundations, and faith-based organizations.
Strong team leadership: A creative, big-picture approach with the ability to lead and support teams, manage multiple direct reports, and translate strategy into timely, actionable plans.
Emotional intelligence: Strong self-awareness and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and foster collaborative relationships.
Data-driven program management: Experience using data to build and strengthen donor pipelines across fundraising programs, along with proficiency in CRM systems.
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion: A demonstrated commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization and through your work.
Understanding of community-centric fundraising: An approach to fundraising and storytelling that values donors and community members as partners in advancing Habitat's mission.
Effective communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including confidence in public speaking and relationship-building.
Organizational effectiveness: The ability to bring structure, clarity, and consistency to processes and systems to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.

- Your workday will be located in a human-paced, team-oriented, business-casual style office setting.
- Depending on the position responsibilities, you may be eligible for remote/hybrid work based on performance, and access to essential work-related resources.
- While in the office, you will routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
- An office-based role means that your day will be mostly sedentary, with some time spent moving files, open filing cabinets, bending, and/or standing on a stool as necessary.
- Occasionally you will travel between other Habitat locations or temporary worksites.
Your Work Schedule:
- 40-hour work week, generally Monday - Friday 8:30am-4:30pm
- Occasionally you may be asked to work overtime
