• Number of Beds - 4 in Annex (a secure locked psychiatric area holding for placement) 25 procedure rooms (rooms with curtains or doors) 8 hallway beds (utilized 24/7)
• Number of Staff – 88 (combined job titles)
• Type of staff:
• 7a-3a –1 Charge RN 7RN 3ED Techs 2RP Annex: 1 RN and 1 ED Tech
• 3a-7a -- 1 Charge RN 6 RN 2 ED Tech 1RP Annex: 1 RN and 1 ED Tech
• Patient Ratios – 4:1 (flexibility in times of acute surge)
• Type of equipment - U/S IV skills, Lucas Device, Hotline Rapid Infuser, Alaris pumps, Pyxis
• EMR – Sunrise/ Allscripts
• Patient Population - Multiple comorbidities, NEHI (New England Heart Institute) patients- complicated heart conditions, DKA, Sepsis, Trauma, Stroke

Most recruited for:

Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

· At least 2 years ED experience for contract labor

· BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC for contract labor

· Adaptability

· Strong communication skills with patients and peers

· Strong assessment skills

· Dependability and punctuality

· Strong critical thinking skills

· Strong understanding of medical terminology (department coordinators)

Preferred or nice to have:

candidates with these skills will be considered first.

· At least one year ED experience for HCA hired staff

· BLS/ACLS/PALS/MOAB/TNCC for HCA hired staff

· Strong understanding of EKG interpretation
