Pharmacy Technician
US Department of War
DutiesHelpReceive and review individual prescriptions for the full range of pharmaceuticals, to include controlled drugs, to determine kind, strength, and dosage of drugs to be dispensed.Interpret prescription orders for appropriateness and conformity with established standards.Consider pharmacy policy limitations and instructions on the order.Clarify issues or problems concerning dosing, interactions, allergies, or instructions with the provider, pharmacist, or supervisor in accordance with Air Force (AF) directives and the Joint Commission (TJC) standards, when required.Provide information and consultant advice to the prescriber on contraindications, interactions, and side effects.
