Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for an AIRCRAFT ELECTRICIAN, Position Description Number PDD1369000 and is part of the WY 153d Maintenance Squadron, Wyoming Air National Guard. This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required. Responsibilities Analyze malfunctions, troubleshoot, repair, install, maintain, test, inspect, and modify the electrical/environmental systems and other systems on and/or off-aircraft. Perform maintenance, inspect, modify, test, service, troubleshoot, isolate malfunctions, and repair the aircraft electrical/environmental systems and other aircraft systems. Provide technical advice and troubleshooting expertise to other work centers when electrical or environmental systems affect the aircraft systems such as radar, weapons release, navigation, communication, instruments, flight controls, pneudraulics, fuel or other systems/subsystems. Provide on-the-job training to lower graded personnel or to newly assigned personnel regardless of grade. Requisition, process, and account for supply assets as required by the repairable processing system. Comply with safety, fire, security, and housekeeping regulations and ensure that material and equipment are properly stored, protected, maintained and secured. ** This is NOT an all-inclusive list of duties. ** Requirements KEY REQUIREMENTS: Open to current or prior service active duty, reserve or national guard members of one of the branches of the US Air Force, Army, Navy, or Marines. Military members: Submit vMPF Rip, DVR, STP, ERS, MBS, or PDR with resume. Prior service members: Submit a DD Form 214. Must become a military member of the Wyoming Air Nat'l Guard before appointment. May be required to successfully complete a two-year trial period. PCS costs are not authorized. Must be willing to relocate at own expense if selected. EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS & NOTES: Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT). Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses. Acceptance of a Technician position will terminate these military incentives. Acceptance of a permanent or indefinite position will cause termination from the Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP) and TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS). Qualifications AREAS OF CONSIDERATION: The consideration of qualified eligible candidates will be as follows: Area 1: Permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) WY ANG employees assigned to the 153 MXS. Area 2: Permanent and indefinite Wyoming Air National Guard (ANG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Air National Guard. Area 4: Current military members of the Wyoming Air National Guard. Area 6: Current and prior military service members separated from any branch of the military to include US Air Force, US Army, US Navy, US Marine Corps, Reserves, and National Guard components. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must possess experience or training in locating and tying in the electrical systems with the aircraft armament, electronics, and instrument systems; adjusting and calibrating the components of the various electrical systems; reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematics. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience or training installing, maintaining, repairing and modifying electrical systems and major substation components of electrical systems. Experience diagnosing malfunctions and determining remedy when complex relationships exist among different electrical system circuits requiring knowledge of all electrical units and systems. Experience making electrical repairs that require the use of precision measuring equipment and common hand tools. Experience in the setup and operation of computerized multiple circuit analyzing equipment in manual, semiautomatic, or automatic mode to run existing and new (not fully debugged) diagnostic programs to test and analyze aircraft electrical circuitry and interconnecting cabling of systems such as navigational computers, radar, and related equipment and to repair discrepancies. NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES (KSAs): Technical Competence. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement. Must possess or be eligible to retrain into AFSC 2A6X6, AIRCRAFT ELECTRICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEMS. Enlisted 2A6X6 ASVAB Requirements: Must possess a minimum score of "41" on the Mechanical AND "61" on the Electrical portion of the ASVAB. Medical Profile PULHES must not be greater than 333132.
