About the Role

As a Dental Assistant at Gentle Dental Northpointe, you'll work alongside our dentists and clinical team to deliver high-quality, compassionate dental care.

You'll play an essential role in keeping the clinical day running smoothly-from preparing treatment rooms and assisting with procedures to supporting patients throughout their appointments. We're looking for someone who brings a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to creating an excellent patient experience.
What You'll Do

• Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient care
• Help maintain efficient patient flow throughout the clinical day
• Support patients before, during, and after treatment, helping them feel comfortable and informed
• Follow infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Take dental X-rays when appropriately certified
• Provide patients with oral health education and post-treatment instructions
• Collaborate closely with dentists, hygienists, front office teammates, and other dental assistants
• Contribute to a positive, organized, and team-focused work environment

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications

• Certificate from a Dental Assisting Program
• Current healthcare provider CPR/BLS certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to delivering an excellent patient experience
• Ability to work effectively as part of a fast-paced dental team
• Dependable, organized, and attentive to detail

Expanded Functions experience or certification is a plus.
Qualifications That May Increase Starting Pay

We value experience and additional skills. Starting compensation may be influenced by:

• Previous dental assisting experience
• EFDA certification
• X-ray certification
• Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential, when applicable
• Bilingual Spanish skills

Compensation

$24-$29 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
