Cardiac Sonographer / Echo Technologist – $60–$70+ per Hour (1099 Contractor)

Locations: Raleigh, Durham & Fayetteville, North Carolina
Schedule: 4–5 Days per Week | Monday–Friday | 8:00am–5:00pm

We are seeking an experienced  Cardiac Sonographer / Echo Tech to provide on-site transthoracic echocardiograms across Raleigh, Durham, and Fayetteville.

This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity offering $60–$70+ per hour , consistent weekday scheduling, and strong earning potential. Sonographers typically perform  approximately 10 echocardiograms per day in a professional, patient-focused environment.

Position Highlights

• $60–$70+ per hour

• Monday–Friday only (8am–5pm)

• No nights or weekends

• Average of 10 echos per day

• Travel between Raleigh, Durham, and Fayetteville locations

• 1099 contractor role (no benefits included)

Responsibilities

• Independently perform complete transthoracic echocardiograms (TTEs)

• Follow standard imaging protocols to ensure accurate, high-quality studies

• Complete exams efficiently while maintaining excellent patient care

• Travel to multiple clinic locations during the week

• Participate in occasional team meetings or educational sessions

Qualifications

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) required

• Graduate of an accredited 2-year Allied Health or Ultrasound Technology program

• Minimum 2 years of clinical echocardiography experience

• Strong technical skills and independent scanning ability

• Excellent bedside manner and communication skills

• Tech-savvy and comfortable working in a modern clinical environment

• Knowledge of Studycast preferred (not required)
