Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Serve as a vital liaison between families and outpatient providers, facilitating effective communication and collaboration to ensure that children receive the necessary support. \n
- Engage with insurance companies with a focus on pre-certification and utilization management, advocating for the services our students require. \n
- Contribute to discharge and aftercare planning, ensuring that all clients have comprehensive follow-up care and resources available to them after transition from school services. \n
- Provide therapeutic meal support in school settings, modeling healthy relationships with food while promoting nutritional awareness among students. \n
- Deliver individualized, safe, empathetic, and affirming care, sensitive to each client’s unique circumstances, cultural background, and intersecting identities. \n
This role is centered around school-aged children and adolescents, including those facing challenges related to emotional and behavioral issues, family dynamics, and academic pressures. Understanding the unique experiences and backgrounds of these students is crucial to delivering effective care. You will work to empower them, ensuring that they have access to the support and resources necessary to thrive both personally and academically.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required. \n
- A valid LCSW license in the state of New York is mandatory for this position. \n
