Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.You will be the Program Management Associate Manager for the Lockheed Martin Space‑Based Systems (LM‑SBF) team. MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.Basic QualificationsCompleted bachelors degree.Program Management experience (2-3 years) in the aerospace and defense industry.Project management experience with the ability to effectively lead teams to accomplish critical objectives.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of personnel and internal and external customers.Understanding of program execution and how program performance effects business operations.Experience in new business development, proposal management, design to cost and price to win, and capture management support.Innovative problem solver who can resolve complex issues.Ability to accomplish business / program goals without day-to-day direction and tasking.Knowledge on program and program management methodology techniques and working knowledge of program cost/scheduling tools (MS project or OpenPlan ,SAP, Apriso, etc.)Minimal travelling to customer, supplier, and end-user facilities as needed.Ability to obtain a US-DOD Secret Clearance. Desired SkillsExperience with development and manufacturing of IR sensors and associated technologies for military, scientific, and/or commercial applications.Program management experience managing complex technology programs.Communicates across multiple disciplines to provide leadership and vision for the program.Able to motivate and mentor team members.Possesses strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
