Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

The University of Michigan Health - Sparrow is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our new Same Day Access Clinic located in Okemos, Michigan. Positions Location: Okemos, MI

Job Description: Responsible for providing assessment, evaluation and treatment of patients in assigned Practice(s), under the delegated authority and supervision of the physicians within the scope of medical practice set forth by the State of Michigan and UMHP.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Current Michigan license as an NP or PA
• Certification
• Demonstrated clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate nursing and medical interventions
• Interpersonal skills to effectively and appropriately communicate with patients, their families, physicians, nurses and other Health System Caregivers
• Ability to work in an EMR environment

Per Diem Position - 8 hour day shifts

Outpatient only

Patient population 13yrs+

Clinic will see patients with minor acute illness and injury
