Whether you will spend your day brainstorming in an office cubicle, operating a crane, running manufacturing equipment or troubleshooting technical obstacles, at CMC, you'll get the training and support from your team that you need to excel in your role and reach your full potential.What You'll Do:Able to communicate effectively with appropriate departments/individuals.Thorough understanding of applicable devices in the facilityWork safely to prevent on the job injuries by following safety rules and regulations at all times including proper wearing of company PPEAssist ARP Planners with scheduling and prioritizing maintenance activitiesParticipates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety CultureDiagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment, hand tools and personal knowledge to determine root causeExercise judgement when troubleshooting AC/DC motor controls, PLC, electrical drives, and all high voltage systems, keeping them all up to the site voltage maximums.Able to understand electrical/electronical schematicsInspect and perform daily maintenance on all shop machinery, mobile equipment, HVAC Systems, PLC networks, and cranesMaintain a thorough and working knowledge/understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, distribution control, fluidic, and electrical systems/components and how they operateMaintains specified records of work performed, details of repairs, and material usagePerforms necessary maintenance tasks including repair or replacement of damaged parts, adjustments and calibration procedures, assemble, install, test and execute preventative maintenance tasks on various forms of manufacturing equipmentProvides technical assistance to maintenance and production personnel as neededResponsible for daily housekeeping duties including but not limited to immediate work areaUse SAP maintenance module in the execution of duties, utilize computers to acquire information, documentation, account for time and corrective actionsWorks with related diagnostic equipment including digital voltmeter, paper recorder, multi-volt meter, oscilloscope, and other electronic tools and equipmentAssist in installing and servicing motors, control panels, lighting, and wiringCollaborate with mechanical and production teams to support equipment performanceParticipate in CMC Safety Programs and proactively support the CMC Safety CulturePerform routine inspections and basic preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipmentSupport troubleshooting of electrical issues in heavy machinery, furnaces, rolling mills, and automated equipmentWhat You'll Need:Ability to function in a fast-paced environmentAbility to stand, walk, bend, and work in heights for extended periods of timeAC/DC troubleshooting experience requiredElectrical controls maintenance and repair proficiencyKnowledge of the melting, casting and rolling process and related equipment preferredMinimum 3 years industrial maintenance experience preferredMRO system; SAP system experience preferredMust have experience with and the ability to demonstrate electrical and mechanical maintenance principles, concepts, and troubleshooting techniques including a working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumaticsNFPA 70E requirements preferredSiemens and/or other PLC troubleshooting experience preferredStrong multitasking abilitiesThorough understanding of electrical safe work practicesBasic AC/DC troubleshooting skills and ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawingsAbility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidaysMinimum 1-2 years of industrial electrical experience; exposure to steel or heavy manufacturing preferredWorking knowledge of automation systems, VFDs, and instrumentation (advanced skills developed on the job)Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in environments with extreme temperatures, chemicals, dust, fumes, loud noise, uneven surfaces, elevated areas, and confined spacesYour Education: High School Diploma or GED requiredWe are CMC, a Fortune 500® company at the leading edge of our industry.
