Please note time off requests must be disclosed with initial submission to be considered for approval. Time off requested after the acceptance date will not be approved.*Certified Sterile Processing Distribution Perform duties of decontamination, assembly, high level disinfection and/or sterilization of surgical instruments for the OR and other hospital departments and clinics. In accordance with established policies and standard work. Prioritize tasks as directed by supervisor or as needed to support patient care for the OR and customer departments. Document, monitor and maintain accurate records demonstrating high level disinfection and sterilization in accordance with current professional and regulatory agencies. *Performs other functions as required When submitting candidates include at least two references (one must be from current manager), a resume, and completed skills checklist/competency assessment.13 weeks assignment, 2 years' experience current required in large OR. Orto, ENT and/or vascular experience a plus. Must be a team player, flexible and accustomed to fast paced environment. Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment. CERTS: BLS certification required. BLS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.SHIFTS: DAYS - start time 0600 Shift length 8 hours Shifts may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs. CALL: currently is weekend coverage only WEEKENDS: currently we have 2 spd techs sharing call responsibility HOLIDAYS: required. Travelers are first to float within facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of permanent assigned location. Traveling pairs are not guaranteed same schedules or same shifts. ORIENTATION: 1st week of the contract, not to exceed 40 total hours, and includes EPIC training. Scrubs required
