Printer Field Service Technician, II

About the Role Spotting a solution and fixing a problem is a tremendous technical skill set that requires diligence, determination, and a knack for knowledge. This role involves operational, maintenance, and networking support for Canon‑supported products. Responsibilities Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures. Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications. Maintain working knowledge and aptitude across multiple product groups, including troubleshooting and diagnostics. Provide efficient, responsive, and accurate Field/Shop/on‑site maintenance to meet and exceed customer demands. Properly maintain all technical information, Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property assigned. Provide direction to less experienced technicians and maintain technical records. Deliver solutions for escalated technical and/or customer service‑related problem areas for any territory requested. Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience with 1–2 years of related experience. Basic understanding of internet environments and the ability to complete the 120‑day introductory period and the PDIF (Printing and Digital Imaging Foundations) new‑hire class. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; ability to travel. Capability to work in a 24/7 environment, performing shift work and on‑call rotations. Required to obtain any necessary security and/or customer clearances before entering customer premises. Ability to lift 50 pounds and remain active more than 50 % of the time (walking, standing, stooping/kneeling). Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship). Compensation Base salary range: $21.50–$30.75 per hour. The role is eligible for a transportation allowance. Workstyle Full‑time on‑site, requiring presence at the assigned office/worksite/territory on scheduled workdays.
