Event Marketing Specialist

Healio LIVE, a member of The Wyanoke Group, organizes in-person continuing education meetings for healthcare specialists. We’re seeking anEvent Marketing Specialist, who will report directly to the Senior Director of Marketing, to promote educational opportunities to healthcare professionals by combining strong marketing fundamentals with a passion for leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to create more effective campaigns, improve productivity and drive innovation. This position is a full-time, salaried, hybrid role for a local candidate in Thorofare, New Jersey with occasional travel. The Event Marketing Specialist is responsible for managing multiple marketing plans to achieve meeting branding, engagement, attendance goals and onsite presence. Promotional plans include print, digital, email, web, social media, and SEO communications such as journal advertisements, brochures, post cards, letters, emails, websites, web ads, social media posts and paid campaigns. Onsite at the events, we need to continue the branding and already generate momentum for the next year – we produce stage presence, welcome and directional signage, branded premium items, program materials and more. The ideal candidate should be able to manage ongoing projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, prioritize, multi-task, stay organized, pay attention to details, take direction, write professionally and creatively, proofread, work both independently and as part of a team, interact with all levels of the company, work with graphic designers, solve problems, be self-motivated, driven to succeed, and be enthusiastic about accomplishing goals personally, as a team and as a company. Specific tasks include, but are not limited to: Execute marketing plans; meet deadlines; maintain budgets Write marketing copy; edit, proofread, and stylize content for consistency Coordinate production of print and digital materials; obtain necessary approvals; follow corporate and continuing medical education guidelines Create social media ads/posts, including paid campaigns, and manage engagement Evaluate current registration data/trends for effectiveness; research competition and other promotional strategies to make recommendations for changes in methods and materials Extremely organized; driven by results and desire to constantly improve Collaborate with cross-functional teams across divisions of The Wyanoke Group Qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, English, Public Relations, Psychology, or a related field is required 5-10 years of professional experience developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns, preferably in event marketing, healthcare marketing or B2B marketing Curiosity and willingness to explore emerging marketing technologies, including AI, and recommend new approaches that improve campaign performance and operational efficiency Excellent written and verbal communication as well as copywriting and proofreading skills with extraordinary attention to detail Must be highly organized with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks and manage deadlines Must be a self-starter, independently move projects forward, proactively gather information from various departments/sources to get projects done Comfortable with best practices for various marketing tactics and channels including print, digital, email, web and social media Strong analytical skills to evaluate data/trends and make strategic suggestions Experience with maintaining budgets and tracking expenses Familiarity with continuing medical education standards or medical terminology a plus Technical Knowledge: High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Canva Email marketing software (ex. Selligent) Event marketing platform (ex. CVENT) Job trafficking platform (ex. Airtable) Mobile apps Social media platforms AI productivity tools Travel: Occasional within U.S. The annual base salary for this position is $60,000 to $68,000. Placement within this range is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, knowledge, skills, education, years and level of experience, and equity with internal team members. Employees living within a 50-mile radius to our office in Thorofare, NJ will be scheduled to work at this location 2 days per week. Employees are eligible to enroll in our health insurance package, which includes medical, pharmacy, dental and an FSA plan.
