Surgical Technician Per Diem

Job Overview Be part of the BMC Brighton team dedicated to advancing diagnostic excellence and improving patient outcomes. Responsibilities As a member of the Labor and Delivery surgical team, the surgical technician provides patient care during surgical procedures by creating an aseptic and safe environment. Duties include prepping and sterilizing rooms, transporting patients, passing instruments and providing assistance to surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other staff during surgery. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited/approved program in surgical technology (or completion of an Armed Forces medic or corpsmen program). Surgical Technician certification required or Surg Tech experience prior to 2013 per MA law. Minimum 1‑year Surgical Tech experience in a hospital setting. Ability to work as part of a team providing specialized care. Maintain good working relationships with surgeons and other employees. Good verbal and written communication skills. High level of knowledge and proficiency in all aspects of the Surgical Technician role including case preparation, set‑up, aseptic technique, surgical instrumentation, equipment and supplies, and room turnover. Compensation and Benefits Compensation Range: $32.12–$47.72 per hour. This range is based on minimum qualifications and considers education, experience, and licensure.
