Avionics TechnicianVista Aircraft Maintenance is seeking to hire Avionics Technician to join our Part 145 Repair Station in Van Nuys, CA. As an Avionics Technician, you will perform inspections, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, removal and replacement of aircraft instrument and avionics components and systems in accordance with manufacturer's specifications, FAR's, industry standards and organizational approved procedures.Vista Aircraft Maintenance is the in-house maintenance provider for the Vista Members' fleet, which comprises an unrivalled fleet of light, super mid-size, long-range and ultra-long-range aircraft. Vista Aircraft Maintenance offers a robust regional support network for Vista's growing fleet, with one of the leading base maintenance facilities in the world.The salary range for this position is $35 to $60+ per hour.ResponsibilitiesEnsure all work is performed in accordance with the procedures outlined in the applicable Aircraft Maintenance Manual and customers General Maintenance Manual.Troubleshoots, repairs, test, removes and replaces avionics and instrument wiring and systems installed in various airframes using hand tools, test equipment and technical documents. Orders necessary parts to complete the job. Acts as Authorized Inspector as authorized.Enters description of work completed on the work order and properly documents removal and installation of aircraft parts and components according to approved data and company approved procedures. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of all technical reference materials needed to perform the job.Performs troubleshooting and repair of discrepancies in avionics and instrument components and aircraft systems. Responds to other technical requests from internal and external customers within area of expertise. Provides OJT to less experienced technicians to ensure technician development and accurate work.Accompanies flight crews to perform in-flight troubleshooting and adjustments and performs preflight evaluations of avionics and instrument systems.Maintains avionics test equipment and work area as required. Operates ground support equipment as necessary.Attends factory and company technical training and participates in OJT to increase technical skills and proficiency.
