Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.Directs and manages all technical and administrative aspects of the laboratory. Administer Boone Health policy as well as setting local policy for clinical quality, human resources, finance, and regulatory. Acts as liaison between laboratory and other functions of the hospital or system.Directs, supports and promotes continuous improvement of quality and service to ensure the goal of excellence in clinical outcomes.Researches, evaluates, selects and implements systems which improve efficiency of department operationsPerforms Other Responsibilities as Assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Physical/Life Science or related fieldExperience: 5-10 YearsSupervisor Experience: 2-5 YearsLicenses & Certification: MT/MLS-ASCP or equivalentPreferred Qualifications:Degree: Master's Degree in Physical/Life Science or related fieldExperience: 10+ YearsSupervisor Experience: 5-10 YearsLicenses & Certification: Certification/License in Area of ExpertiseWork Shift:Day Shift (United States of America)Legal Statement:The above information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this position.
