Material Handler

Material HandlerThis position will work with a team of material handlers doing product put-aways from our production departments and other warehouse facilities, as well as replenishments and inventory bin audits.Duties/Responsibilities:Operate high-reach forklift and electric/manual pallet jackAssist in the arrangement of stock in the warehouse and delivery of items to appropriate departments and/or locationsCheck equipment to ensure health and safety regulations are metMaintain a clean working environmentPerform simple maintenance and housekeeping tasksRegular attendanceAbility to communicate effectively across all functions within the plant and the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with individuals at all levelsOther duties as assigned by supervisors and/or managementRequired Skills/Abilities:Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculationsStrong attention to detail, time management skills, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work overtime as needed and as requiredAbility to maintain acceptable standards of conductEducation and experience:5+ years forklift experienceSAP or other WMS experience strongly preferredExperience working with push-back racking preferredExperience working with food products and familiarity with lot codes and expiration dates, FIFO rotation, etc.Physical Requirements:Occasionally lift up to 55 lbs.Occasionally lift up to 28 Ibs.This position requires frequent walking, standing, twisting, reaching, bending, climbing and lifting.Frequently walk, stand, as well as constant hand coordinationThis job description is intended to summarize the primary responsibilities and qualifications for this role.
