Job Title: Perinatal Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: Active state license or compact state license Certifications: BLS, EFM, NRP Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Meditech charting system experience required - Community hospital experience preferred Description: We are seeking a Perinatal Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. The registered nurse will work in the Family Birthplace unit. The position involves a 3x12-hour night shift schedule. Floating to Labor and Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum may be required. A commitment to providing quality care to mothers and newborns is essential. Experience in managing high-risk deliveries is preferred. Responsibilities include administering medications and supportive therapies. The nurse will perform assessments and assist with various procedures. Strong communication skills and teamwork are crucial in this role. Knowledge of labor support and breastfeeding assistance is expected. The facility experiences an average monthly birth rate of 100-300. All applicants must meet certification requirements. Medical and religious exemptions for vaccinations may apply. The nurse will ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Candidates must be prepared for variable weekend shifts.
