The Sisters of Mercy of the Americas are seeking a dependable and experienced Cook to join our campus community in Auburn, California. This is an opportunity to prepare nutritious, high-quality meals while creating a welcoming dining experience for our Sisters, guests, and retreat participants in a mission-driven environment centered on compassion, hospitality, and respect.

Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner according to menus, recipes, and dietary needs.
Ensure meals are nutritious, appealing, and served safely.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.
Assist with inventory, food storage, and kitchen organization.
Support special events, retreats, and catering as needed.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
Provide friendly, respectful service to Sisters, guests, and coworkers.
High school diploma or GED.
At least 1 year of professional cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare, assisted living, or similar food service setting.
Valid California Food Handler Card.
Experience preparing meals from standardized recipes.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screening, physical, and TB test.
